Recently, Rosenberger (Changzhou) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. formally signed with Gwall Technology to deploy the Gwall WMS warehouse management system, building a digital warehousing foundation for the group's Changzhou smart new factory, which represents a total investment of over 100 million USD, and helping fully implement a smart manufacturing system built to Industry 4.0 standards. This collaboration is an important part of Rosenberger's strategy to deepen its presence in the Chinese market and accelerate localization, and it also provides a replicable benchmark case for WMS selection in manufacturing and WMS practice in the electronics industry.
About Rosenberger: A World-Leading Provider of RF, Fiber Optic and High-Voltage Connectivity Solutions
Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Germany, Rosenberger Group is one of the world's best-known suppliers in high-frequency, high-voltage and fiber optic technology. Its business broadly covers automotive electronics, communications, data centers, aerospace and medical electronics, and it enjoys a reputation as an "industry hidden champion" and a "standard setter" in the high-end electronic connection systems segment.
In June 2025, Rosenberger's Changzhou smart new factory, with a total investment of over 100 million USD, officially broke ground. Planned and built with a forward-looking Industry 4.0 approach, the factory integrates intelligent warehousing, fully automated production lines and digital management systems into a three-in-one smart manufacturing system. Once completed, the Changzhou plant will become Rosenberger's largest production and R&D base in the Asia-Pacific region. In the third quarter of this year, the plant will officially begin production. Upholding the philosophy of "global technology, local speed," Rosenberger will use the new factory as its foundation to continue deepening its presence in the Chinese market while providing more reliable and efficient connectivity solutions to customers worldwide.
Project Background: Industry 4.0 Smart Warehousing Enabling Efficient Ramp-Up of the New Factory
This collaboration comes at a critical stage in the construction of Rosenberger's Changzhou smart new factory. To match a smart manufacturing system built to Industry 4.0 standards, Rosenberger adopted Gwall's advanced and mature manufacturing warehousing management concepts and practices to support the plant's efficient ramp-up and ongoing operations.
From a WMS selection perspective, electronics manufacturing has unique requirements for warehouse management: many product varieties in small batches, strict batch traceability and high coordination between production and warehousing. During its WMS selection process, Rosenberger focused on integration capability with automated equipment, depth of collaboration with ERP/MES, and the ability to finely manage multiple material types. With its deep accumulation in manufacturing WMS and rich practical cases in electronics WMS, Gwall WMS became Rosenberger's digitalization partner.
Based on the Gwall WMS warehouse management system, the project fully integrates intelligent equipment such as AGVs, automated storage and retrieval systems and automated production lines, achieving efficient end-to-end operations from raw material inbound, in-stock management and production line feeding to finished goods outbound. The system will meet multi-dimensional, granular inventory management requirements for raw materials and finished products, standardize on-site operating workflows, and achieve visible inventory, real-time data and evidence-based decisions. It connects supply chain and warehousing-distribution data collaboration, laying a solid digital warehousing foundation for Rosenberger's Changzhou smart new factory.
How is Gwall WMS implemented at Rosenberger's new factory?
Integrated software and hardware, fully compatible with and uniformly scheduling intelligent equipment such as AGVs, automated storage and retrieval systems and automated sorting lines — with WMS as the warehousing command hub, building an efficient collaboration mechanism between the warehouse execution layer and the equipment scheduling layer.
